Mind Naturals Unwind Moisturizer Review

This is probably one of the most impressive moisturizers I've experienced in a long, long time. I haven't put my finger on what makes it so incredibly creamy, yet not overly oily but after wearing it for several days under makeup, barefaced, etc., it's extremely lightweight as if I'm not wearing anything at all. A few times on the day I wore the moisturizer with nothing over it, I had a few moments where I frozen thinking that I'd forgotten to apply moisturizer but then contemplated why my skin didn't feel like it needed any. Then I remembered that I was trying out the Mind Naturals Unwind Moisturizer.

Unwind Moisturizer

The Unwind Moisturizer includes an ingredient called cacay. It also has Hyaluronic Acid and CBD Oil but I think the cacay oil is what's giving this moisturizer the added boost of hydration. Cacay oil is commonly used in cosmetics but isn't promoted as a holy grail ingredient as much as CBD oil and of course, hyaluronic acid. Cacay is an indigenous flower found in the North-West of South America. Being that Mind Naturals is a Colombian based company, it makes sense that they would use ingredients native to their region. Cacay oil is extracted from the nut and is composed of linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid from the omega-6 fatty acid family.

The Unwind Moisturizer also has ascorbic acid, lactic acid, other forms of vitamin c, which explains the insane glow it gave my skin! The CBD oil also enhances the formula helping the skin relax, especially around the upper cheeks and mouth area where we tend to hold a lot of tension.

Hydrating Mask

Mind Naturals Hydrating Mask Review

The Hydrating Mask by Mind Naturals Skincare is also a nice product. It goes on creamy but doesn't tighten on your face too much. The Haydrating Mask isn't made to extract anything from your skin. Instead it's meant to help add hydration to your skin by nourishing it with vitamin E, Sacha Inchi and CBD Oil. Like cacay oil, sacha inchi is also a native South American plant that is rich in omega-3 and omega 6 fatty acids.

When applying the mask, it's easy to forget it's actually mask and to treat it like a cream by continuing to rub it in but don't do that. You only have to glide it over your skin and let the mask do the rest. You'll know when it's time to wash it off because the mask will start to flake off in a powder like texture.

Both the Unwind Moisturizer and the Hydrating Mask have a beautiful sweet, floral scent that's not over powering. The scent doesn't change once you apply the product. The packaging is what I call "millennial minimalistic" and is impressively made with Sugarcane! Sugarcane, is a bioplastic made from a renewable raw material: ethanol from sugarcane. Mind Naturals Sugarcane packaging is 100% recyclable, BPA free and FDA approved. You can learn more about their packaging here.
