I haven't posted one of these monthly roundups in several months but I'm so happy to get back to it because I get to roundup and really think about which products brought the most value to my life over the past month.
November was an interesting month in terms of tech and fitness products. I replaced my iPhone earlier in the month which led to having to replace several accessories such as a phone case (which I still haven't found my daily driver) but I took the leap into the MagSafe category of accessories.
I've been changing up my workouts more frequently lately for several reason which, one of which I'm planning to return to races next month and the LA Marathon in March. Needless to say, having a strong core is a top priority. I've also been wanting to go deeper into functional fitness movements. I've acquired a few fitness items from Bala Bar since the beginning of the whole 'stay at home' period to aid in my at home workouts but I recently decided to get a Bala Ring and try some new functional movements with it. So far I'm really loving this piece of equipment more than I expected. Mr. DJR also seems to love it because he's pretty much taken it over during the day, using it to do functional movements at his standing desk. Here's some easy moves you can do with the Bala Ring at home.
This year Crypto has played an increasing part in our lives. Mr. DJR bought me my first crypto hardware wallet and I've been getting comfortable with using it to store my cryptocurrency. Since cryptocurrency is so new to most people, you may not know that a hardware wallet is a different way to store crypto versus the digital crypto wallet you may have on your phone or browser. While there's many hardware wallet makers, there's only a few that are routinely recommended for storing non-trivial amounts of crypto. Trezor is the original hardware wallet. Find out why I love this crypto wallet here.
As many of my readers and followers know, I've been receiving BoxyCharm beauty boxes all year featureing tons of new and innovative beauty products. In my November BoxyCharm box, was a full size bottle of Glowoasis milkdew - a pH balancing moisture milk toner. What I love about Glowaoasis milkdew is that it's not only a toner removing left behind dirt, etc.. It's also very hydrating and combats dullness that often comes along with Fall and Winter weather. Glowoasis milkdew hero ingredients includes napa cabbage ( think Kimchi) for vegan probiotics, prickly pear extract which has a high concentration of multivitamins & minerals, apricot kernel for its vitamin E enriched rejuvenating oil, soybean extract and cica extract reduce inflammation and irritation.

The busier I get, the more I tend to seek out multitasking, compact beauty products. I've acquired several Trestique products over this year including their foundation stick in Tulum Nude. The Trestique Foundation Stick features a cream foundation at one end and a sponge at the other for blending. Although I find the sponge end to be a bit small, making it a little tedious to use it to blend and smooth the foundation, I love the concept and think it is practical for applying light coverage on very low maintenance days when you still want a bit of polish. Most of all, I absolutely love that Trestique's foundation stick is refillable. So no need to toss out the whole product, you can easily replace the foundation stick and sponge when it wears down. See how to use Trestique Foundation Stick here .
The last of my favorites for November is Freck's Rich Bitch Cactus + Vitamin C Moisturizer. This is an extremely rich and ultra hydrating moisturizer that is perfect for incredible cold and dry winters. I shouldn't be one to complain about cold and dryness as living in Los Angeles is not an extreme case study in moisturizers for dry skin. However, winters here are very dry if not anything else and call for great exfoliators and moisturizers. Rich Bitch's key ingredients are jojoba seed oil ( which we know from many other products is high in vitamin A, D, E and Omega 6 and 9), Prickly Pear Seed Oil ( as I mentioned above is great for inflammation), Kelp Extract, and Rosemary Leaf Extract ( which has anti-microbial properties). Check out the thickness of this moisturizer here .
So guys these are my favorites for November 2021. You'll likely see some of these end up on my Holiday Gift Guide as well. In my November Favorites video on Instagram, I demonstrate some key features and how to use these products. So if you're curious, check it out below!
