5 Reason to Cowork with the Croissant App this Summer

Coworking at Beach House in Santa Monica
A few months ago I started using the coworking app Croissant as a way to break up the monotony of my general office days. When I’m not shooting or at events, I often find myself scrambling to get out of my usual work routine which sometimes includes waking up and rolling over to grab my laptop! Croissant gets me out and about and I’m sure it can do the same for you this Summer!

Croissant is a monthly cowering membership available through their website and on apps available for Apple and Android that allows entrepreneurs, freelancers, remote workers, and digital nomads access to hot desks at shared workspaces all over the world.

So far I’ve visited several cowering spaces around Los Angeles but  Croissant features co-working locations all across the world from New York, San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago, Seattle and everywhere in between. Some of my favorite cowering spaces I enjoy in Los Angeles include, The Riveter, a co-working space made by women for everyone, Indie Desk, one of the first co-working spaces in Downtown Los Angeles, Convene, a contemporary industrial chic event, meeting and cowering space, and The Hub LA, a creative co-working community in the Arts District. Many coworking spaces offer a range of free and paid amenities such as childcare, free coffee, snacks, phone booths, and parking.

Vacation From Working at Home or Coffee Shop
Although lazy days in bed can be refreshing, the summer can easily fly by when you're just waking up and reaching for your laptop every day. Having a variety of places to work can feel like an adventure, especially if you live in a big city like Los Angeles. With Coworking spaces spread out across the city, spending the day at a space in Venice can feel like taking a day trip!

Most Coworking spaces open early in the morning (i.e. 8am) and close around 5pm. Many of them offer after-hours access via the Croissant app if you need to work late or on weekends. A few weeks ago we had guests in town and while we were out sightseeing, I had some urgent work that needed to be taken care of. Instead of going to a coffee shop that may have been crowded and not have offered any outlets. I was able to easily open the Croissant App, use the geo-locator to find the closest open coworking space and hold a seat for me and 2 guests. It was such a relief because we could all work on our laptops, refresh ourselves with water and additional amenities they offered.

Networking and Resources
In Coworking spaces, you have the opportunity to meet professionals who you may not have crossed paths with. The ice is already broken so it’s much easier to get to know your cohorts!

A Fun Way To Work
Coworking spaces are more inspirational than traditional office spaces. They also often host events and activities that encourage motivation and inspiration. I’ve often been stuck working in my hotel room when I’m traveling. In some cases can be fun but it’s also isolating. Having the ability to open the Croissant app and have a selection of Coworking spaces at my fingertips is really great!

Croissant offers 3 membership tiers: Explorer ($35/mo), Creator ($115/mo) and Luminary ($225/mo). Each membership offers to roll over unused hours, 24/7 access to select workspaces, 500+ spaces in the network and guest hours. Something that’s less promoted in the Croissant App but I think is super useful is the Community and Perks & Discounts feature.  The Community feature allows you to post requests, invites, etc. while the Perks & Discounts feature lists, several partners.
