La Mere Poulard Unboxing & Review

It’s the holiday season and for me, that means it’s also an excuse to bake yummy things!

La Mere Poulard cookies originate from the La Mere Poulard’s Restaurant in France which is famous for their omelets (one of my favorite things)! It honestly looks like a pancake which another one of my favorite things! 😉 Anyway, the restaurant was also famous for making biscuits (in the U.S. better known as cookies). 

Before this box, I’ve only seen them in select stores but I don’t recall ever trying them before. I was sent a box of French Sables, French Shortbread and French Caramel Biscuits. We honestly went through all 3 boxes in less than a week. 

I’m not a pro at baking cookies. Actually, I can’t remember the last time I’ve made a batch of cookies but La Mere Poulard has a challenge running on their Instagram and I may join in. You can too! Can you make the famous La Mere Poulard’s sables?

Here’s the recipe:
- 300 grams (10.5 oz) of Flour
- 2 Eggs
- 160 grams (5.6 oz) of Caster Sugar
- 170 grams (6 oz) of Butter cut into pieces and softened
- A pinch of Salt
