Avon Haul, Swatches & Mini Reviews

This Spring pastel colors are the hottest shades for lipsticks, glosses and eyeshadows. For Beauty Week, my Avon Rep, Jahna Houston sent me the latest Spring Collection from Avon called Precious Petals! I received the Nail It Duo featuring green thumb and steel magnolia shades. They are very matte but super easy to apply. I practically tried on the colors while I was typing. What I like about this particular nail polish from Avon’s Mark line is that it dries incredibly fast without using an additional product. You honestly don’t even need a top coat if you are in a rush. On top being pretty durable, the pigment in the polish is right on. One cost gives you a heavy dose of color.  On the downside, if you aren’t into shimmery metallics, than this set may not be for you. However, keep an eye out because Avon, releases new colors quite regularly.

I also got to try out the Total Kiss Up  in Orchid and Peony, which is a lipgloss that gives an extra plump lip. It is described as a 3D-Volu-Plump complex with a collagen-and-elastic blend. It is supposed to make your lips look smoother, healthier and more lush. Based on my swatches in the video, I think I am going to need a lip pencil when I do the tutorials using these closes because the pigments are very light. However, the gloss does wear pretty nice and doesn’t give you sticky lips.

She also included All Time Eyes Longwear Eyeshadow which is in a relish form instead of a powder. The color is Dew Drop. This is a very versatile shadow although it is very pigmented and in a rather pastel color. It can be worn alone or in combination with other shadows. It can be blended out for a soft eye look for daytime or intensified for a night look. The one thing you have to be careful about is how quickly this shadow dries after you apply it. If you plan on blending it, be sure to do it right away.

There are so many looks you can create with these colors! Look out for my first tutorial with them tomorrow!
